Dr. Reinier Grimbergen wins NVKG Crystal Growth Prize 2001

During the annual meeting on January 12, 2001, the NVKG Crystal Growth Prize 2001 was awarded to Dr. Reinier Grimbergen.

He received this prize for his thesis “From Crystal Structure to Morphology: -The Implications of Multiple Connected Nets-” (May 25, 1998).
The research, which took place within the framework of a project of the Technology Foundation STW, was carried out at the Department of Solid State Chemistry of the Catholic University of Nijmegen in the group of Prof. dr. Peter Bennema.
The jury consisting of R. Reijnhout, H. de Moor and J. Frenken had the difficult task of choosing the best work from 5 strong dissertations.
The Jury unanimously decided to award this year’s prize to Dr. Reinier Grimbergen.
